Power League 2 Recap


At the conclusion of Power League tournament #2, twelve Bay to Bay teams moved up or held their division placements. Check out a quick blurb on each team from this past weekend below.

Reminder: This Sunday, October 28th will be the annual Bay to Bay Halloween practice. There will be prizes for best individual costume, best team costume, and best coaches costumes!

 

Bay to Bay 18-1: The 18-1's went 3-1 on the weekend losing in the quarterfinals of the Gold division. Coach Arielle, Alex, and Ryan's team will regroup and come in as the #5 seed for Power League #3.

Bay to Bay 18-2: The 18-2's finished strong in the Silver division going 3-1, their only loss coming to the Bay to Bay 16-1's in a closely contested 3-set match. The team will move back into the Gold division for Power League 3 and will enter a pool of all Bay to Bay teams (17-1's, 18-1's, and 18-2's)

Bay to Bay 17-1: The 17-1's came out firing in Power League 2, taking over the #3 overall seed by going 2-0 in their morning pool. From there, they advanced into the semi-finals where they fell just short. The 17-1's will look to continue their improvement as the #4 seed in Power League 3.


Bay to Bay 17-2: The 17-2's team went 3-1 on the weekend. When asked about the weekend, Coach Mark said, "The boys brought some great fight today". As a result, the team will elevate into the Bronze division for Power League 3.

Bay to Bay 16-1: The 16-1's went 4-1 on the weekend in the Silver division, losing in 3-sets in the Silver finals. The 16's will look to continue the momentum into the Gold division of 18-under Power League 3 where they will enter as the #11 seed and play against the #3 and #6 seeds.

Bay to Bay 16-2: Coach Chris and Ryan's team went 2-2 on the weekend. After going 0-2 in the morning pool the boys moved into the contenders bracket where they managed to win out the day. This means the boys will remain in the Gold division as the #9 seed heading into Power League 3.

Bay to Bay 15-1: The 15-1's brought home another strong finish at Power League 2, finishing in third place. Coach Chad and Jason's squad will look to use the next three weeks of practice to keep taking steps forward.

Bay to Bay 15-2: The 15-2's went 3-1 on the weekend which means they will move up into the Silver division for Power League 3. The boys will enter as the #23 seed in the 16's division, and will compete against the #15 and #18 seeds in their morning pool.

Bay to Bay 15-Club: The team went 1-4 on the weekend and had some very close matches throughout the day. The team will move back to the Aqua division for Power League 3.

Bay to Bay 14-1: These young guns had a great team effort this weekend, finishing Power League at 4-1. They will move into Gold division of the 16-under age group for Power League 3.


Bay to Bay 14-2: The 14-2's showed some serious signs of improvement at Power League 2, finishing the tournament in 4th place. Coach Ricardo and Jon's team went 2-0 in their morning pool and carried that momentum into a quarterfinal win. They fell short in their final two matches, but there were great learning moments along the way.

Bay to Bay 14-Club: Coach Ryan and Chris' team split their morning pool and moved into the winner's bracket for afternoon play where they lost their final two matches. There were great contributions made from the entire team and the boys will remain in Gold for Power League 3.

Bay to Bay 13-1: The 13-1's fought their way into the finals of the 14's Gold division at Power League 2 falling short in the finals match. The tournament provided great learning moments for the whole team.

Bay to Bay 13-2: The 13-2's went 3-1 on the weekend in the Silver division and will move back into the Gold division. Coach Josh and Dalton' team will carry the #11 seed into the tournament to play against the #3 and #6 seed.

Bay to Bay 12-1: America's team went 1-3 in the Gold division and will move back into the Silver division for Power League 3. The 12's showed great fight against their older (and larger) opponents and will look to carry that same attitude through the remainder of the season.
