Time Commitment & Location

Bay to Bay Strength & Conditioning is a once-a-week commitment that works around the indoor competition schedule. Strength Groups will train primarily on Saturday mornings/afternoons at Harker Blackford in the performance room located in the Main Gym.

For our 18's - 15's groups: Each training session will last 1-hour long and takes place 15 minutes after the conclusion of your teams indoor practice.

 

For our 14's - 12's groups: Each training session will last 30-minutes and takes place 45 minutes before indoor practice begins.

 

This schedule helps players maximize their time while training on weekends and minimizes the logistics.

Strength Groups

Players from specific age ranges are grouped together into Strength Groups. The group sessions are scheduled around these age groups indoor practice schedules so that there is no conflict with your team practices. For example, here is what a typical Saturday would like for players in the Strength program:

  • 18/17's indoor teams practice from 8:00 am - 10:00 am at Harker Blackford

    • 18's/17's Strength Group Training from 10:15 am - 11:15 am​ at Harker Strength Room

  • 16's indoor teams practice from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at Harker Blackford

    • 16's Strength Group Training from 12:15 pm - 1:15 pm​ at Harker Strength Room

  • 15's indoor teams practice from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm at Harker Blackford

    • 15's Strength Group Training from 2:15 pm - 3:15 pm​ at Harker Strength Room

  • 14's indoor teams practice from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm at Harker Blackford

    • 14's Strength Group Training​ from 1:15 pm - 1:45 pm at Harker Strength Room

  • 13/12's indoor teams practice from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Harker Blackford

    • 13/12's Strength Group Training from 3:15 pm - 3:45 pm at Harker Strength Room

INCREASE STRENGTH & ENDURANCE

Lead Strength Coach

Karriem Stinson (i.e. Coach K), is a devoted coach who put his students and athletes first. Karriem is an assistant athletic director at the Harker Middle School, wrestling coach for both the middle school and the high school program, and the lead Strength & Conditioning coach for Harker and Stingray Volleyball.

Coach K holds a number of certifications including NCSF, NASM and TRX. His enthusiasm for helping athletes build functional strength and conditioning is only overshadowed by his desire to impact his athletes lives in a positive and meaningful way. In Coach K's words, “My philosophy when it comes to strength training is to challenge yourself every day. We try and teach life lessons so they can utilize the skills later in college and in their adult life.”

Strength & Conditioning Dues

Strength & Conditioning dues will be $400 for 18's-15's Strength Groups, $200 for the 14's Strength Group, and $100 for the modified 13/12's Strength Group. This includes all facility time, instruction, and a Strength & Conditioning shirt. These dues are only payable online using the registration formRegistration is on a first-come first-serve basis, your spot in the program is only reserved after payment has been confirmed.
