March Alumni Update

You may be thinking, what happened to the January and February alumni updates? Let me go ahead and apologize for pushing the alumni updates onto the back burner 🤗 we just welcomed our second daughter, Hallie, into the world on January 31st so we are just now getting out of the fog of infancy.

Without further adieu, heres how our Bay to Bay alums have been doing thus far in the NCAA season:

Kyle Bugée (#5 Lewis University): The senior from Los Altos has been having a fantastic year for the Lewis Flyers, who round out the top-5 of division 1 volleyball currently. Kyle and the Flyers will be making their way out to Northern California this weekend to take on #13 ranked Stanford. Help welcome Kyle back home by wearing your Bay to Bay gear to the matches on Friday @ 7pm in Burnham Pavilion and Saturday @ 7pm in Maples Pavilion. Be sure to check Instagram (@baytobayvolleyball) this week for an attendance giveaway 😏

Alex Li (#1 NYU): The senior outside hitter has led the NYU Violets to a #1 ranking in D3 volleyball this season! Alex is averaging 3.69 kills/set and is one of the most efficient outside hitters in the nation with a .321 clip. Highlight of the season thus far was taking down then #1 Springfield College in straight sets.

Ryan Li (#1 NYU): The freshman setter has started two matches for the #1 ranked Violets and has come off the bench in 4 other contests in a serving sub capacity. On the season, Ryan is averaging nearly 1 ace per set and is second on the team in assists.

Wyatt Harrison (#6 UCSD): Wyatt and the Tritons have been on an absolute tear through the first half of the season. They currently sit at 13-3 overall and Wyatt has put away over 200 kills in the season and is averaging over 4 points per set when you include the 23 aces he has amassed. Joel has put away over 250 points from the Outside Hitter position and is hitting at a clean .330 clip. Joel and the 'Eaters have some major tests coming up as they take on #4 Long Beach State, #3 UCSB, and #1 Hawaii in consecutive weekends.

Nathan Smith (#8 Penn State): The senior setter and the Nittany Lions currently sit at 7-0 in the EIVA conference, holding a 1 game lead over rival Princeton University. The Nittany Lions will take on rival Ohio State next before heading out to California for a matchup against #6 ranked UCSD and #7 ranked UCI.

Attila Delingat (#11 Princeton): Attila has appeared in 5 matches thus far for the Tigers, including tilts against UC Irvine, UCLA, USC, and NJIT.
