Updated: Nov 11, 2020

It was a great start to the season for our 16's and 14's teams. The Power League Qualifier provided many opportunities for our teams to test their skills and identify strengths and areas of needed improvement. Check out how the ten Bay to Bay teams that were competing this weekend fared below, for a recap on how our 18's division teams check out our previous post, here.

The 16-2's finished the weekend 7-1 and will start the season in the Gold division as the #6 overall seed. Coach Chris said the weekend brought great lessons to the whole team. Directors note: if you ever want to watch a team play with energy, go check out the 16-2's!

Bay to Bay 15-1

The 15-1's had a strong showing, going 8-0 on the weekend and improving their overall seed from 7 to 5. Coach Chad and Jason attributed quality serve and pass to the teams performance. They will begin the season in the Gold division.

Bay to Bay 15-2

Coach Peter and Giulia's squad went 2-5 on the weekend. Playing against the top competition all weekend, the 15-2's were in Gold contention all the way until their last match where they lost to then #1 overall seed Fresno. The 15-2's will start the year in the Silver division.

Bay to Bay 15-Club

The boys entered the tournament as the 40th seed in the 16-under division and showed some tremendous play on the weekend. The team finished the tournament at 2-5 and will begin the season in the Aqua division as the 36th seed. Coach Alec and Pat said they were extremely proud of the consistent energy and effort that the boys gave.

Bay to Bay 14-1

Playing up in the 16's division proved to be an entertaining and highly competitive move for Coach Frank and Allie's team. The boys played some extremely high level volleyball on both days of the tournament. Of their 7 matches they played on the weekend, 5 of them went to a third set including their final match, which they lost 15-17 to a strong BAVC 16's team. The 14-1's will start the year as the #13 seed in the Silver division.

Bay to Bay 14-2

Coach Ricardo and Jon's team went 7-0 on the weekend and held their #4 seed going into the first Power League. Coach Ricardo said the boys performed very well as a team and that he was proud of their efforts! The 14-2's will start the year in the Gold division.

Bay to Bay 14-Club

The 14-Club team went 5-2 on the weekend behind a strong overall team performance. Coach Ryan and Chris' team showed some strong improvement throughout the course of the weekend. The 14-Club team will start the season as the #6 seed in the Gold division.

Bay to Bay 13-1

The 13-1's finished the tournament at 6-1, losing to a physical NCVC 14-1 team. The team made some nice strides in filling different positions and roles. The 13-1's will start the year as the #5 seed in the Gold division.

Bay to Bay 13-2

The 13-2's seemed to improve after every match this tournament. The boys found their rhythm specifically on Sunday; going 2-2 on the day and winning a barn burner 3-set match against the Bay to Bay 12-1's to takeover the #10 spot in the Gold division.

Bay to Bay 12-1

The 12-1's (or America's team as they are affectionately referred to by the Bay to Bay coaching staff) played some of the most entertaining volleyball on the weekend. While the boys may not be able to terminate many swings, they can out dig and out hustle event the most experienced in the division. The 12-1's will start the season as the #16 seed in the Silver division.
