Who's it for?
Open Gyms are for athletes that are looking to get extra court time and reps during the Summer season. These sessions are hosted by our local pro team: Bay Area Dimes (B.A.D.)
We will utilize an open play workup format. Winning teams move up/stay on, losing teams move down or must sit out one round of play. Games to 25.
Open Gym FAQ's
Do I need to form a team?
If you would like to play 6 on 6, we recommend getting a team together a head of time. If you are just looking to get individual reps it is not necessary.
Are all age groups welcome? Yes! We will have 1-2 courts dedicated to 14 & younger nets and 2-3 courts dedicated to mens nets.
Do you provide volleyballs? Technically no, our open gyms are B.Y.O.B. but many of our coaches also play at open gym. Our coaches each have a set of 12 volleyballs. They will share if you ask nicely ;-)
What to expect.
Open gyms are a great way to improve your game, meet new people, and have a ton of fun!
There is no explicit structure to open gym. Depending on attendance, some days may have individuals doing hitting lines or serve and pass. On other days there may be 8-10 teams of 6 playing work up courts!
